Welcome to MIAG at The Beeches, Brislington
We work with young students between the ages of 5 -16 who are unable to attend school full-time.
We work with young students between the ages of 5 -16 who are unable to attend school full-time.
We are a short stay alternative provision for students who have been permanently excluded from mainstream education, for students who may be at risk of permanent exclusions, students who or awaiting specialist SEND provision.
We also have students referred from the LA as EIP for a 6-week provision.
The majority of students arrive with significant gaps in their learning – we aim to tackle their barriers to learning before challenging them on their academic achievements.
We provide students with the right support and interventions to allow students to be successful, build self-confidence, become more resilient, with a broad and balanced curriculum, alongside a range of activities and opportunities that support them to re-integrate and engage back in mainstream education or a specialist school setting, or move on to college or an apprenticeship with the correct academic achievements enable this to happen.
All of the above is to ensure our students get supported with all aspects of school life, academically and emotionally to become resilient and independent learners who can manage their own behaviour, emotional and ultimately the next step in their young lives.
The Course is delivered at our MIAG @ The Beeches in Brislington base.
Join our Football Educational programme, delivered by Ex Professional Footballer Barry Hayles and other ex- professional’s, who through the programme will help develop the young peoples communication and confidence through sports coaching.

MIAG have had over 30 students that’s come to MIAG for different reasons, and we have worked with Schools and Local authorities to put them in to mainstream or specialist provision in the last 3 years.
There have been many reasons for disengagement from Education and MIAG Staff have been very creative in how to engage with the students and to work with them to engage them back slowly into Education with a different outlook from the school environment.
Over the last 2 years we have had 8 Students moved onto Apprenticeships and work experience and MIAG will now be looking to expand this offer to year 11 students who do not want to do alternative route of College.
