It is important that we all remember that “We are better together!”
Don’t struggle to navigate a complex system alone
There are a huge number of support groups that are available on Local Area’s Local Offer’.

From time-to-time we all need support. Family and friends can be a great source of support, advice & guidance but sometimes we need more than that, we need expert advice, we need independent advice, we need to talk to someone who has been in the same or a similar situation as ourselves, we need to speak to someone who will not pass judgement, someone who will just listen. It can be difficult to know where to turn, however there are many support networks that offer free services to families of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and/or disability.
Each Local Authority (the area that you live in) must provide information on a Local Offer -a one stop shop where you should find all the information that you need. This is an offer of services that are often free, or available at a small charge, and this includes advice services. The Local Offer is a statutory requirement under The Children and Families Act 2014:
In addition to the above each Local Offer has a Parent, Carer Forum, for details on how to access the local forum and to see how they may support you visit The National Network of Parent Carer Forums at www.nnpcf.org.uk
If you are really unsure about what support you may need then please contact our SENCO/DSL who will be able to signpost you.
