Inspire to Aspire

We work with learners between the ages of 5 -16 who are unable to attend school full-time. We will build a bespoke programme of learner that enables learners to achieve.

The Beeches at Brislington

The Beeches site at Brislington, Bristol is based at the old Bristol Rovers Training Ground, this is a large site that encompasses:

  • Learning Centres
  • Access to 5 large floodlit football pitches
  • Construction Centre
  • Hair & Beauty Salon
  • Arts and Craft Centre
  • Meeting Spaces

Our learners are aged 11 – 16 (Year 7 – Year 11) and will have experienced variable educational experiences before they arrive with us. The majority of our learners will have had a range of factors that will have led to placement here at The Beeches, these may include:

  • History of poor/non attendance
  • Disaffection with a mainstream education curriculum
  • History of persistent disruptive behaviour patterns that have led to several suspensions
  • Have been permanently excluded
  • Have been electively home-educated and are seeking a return to a more formal education setting
  • Have Special Educational Needs and needs are not being met in current provision and/or are awaiting specialist placement
  • Hold an Education, Health, Care Plan (EHCP)

Our learners will have their education delivered through a bespoke individualised curriculum which takes account of their level of need, their levels of attainment, their interests and ensures that they are able to obtain appropriate qualifications. If the learner has an EHCP then their bespoke programme will ensure that the outcomes in their plan are delivered in line with the provisions identified in the EHCP.

Due to the nature of Alternative Provision we are only able to offer learners provision for up to 15 hours per week. It is the long term ambition of the proprietor to obtain OFSTED registration whereby the provision able to be offered will be full-time alongside a more flexible offer.
